In today's edition (January 11th, 2021), a major Spanish economic newspaper Expansión dedicates an article to ACCIONA's Open Innovation program called I'MNOVATION, under the title Resolving the challenge of making a great company grow. The text includes the impressions and reflections of Telmo Pérez, ACCIONA's Director of Innovation and New Business, on the entrepreneurial ecosystem and the lessons learned by the organization after three editions of the startup program in Spain and another in Chile.
Telmo Pérez's vision, which has been emphasized since his landing in the company in 2016, is to incorporate startup talent as one of the most relevant sources of innovation for ACCIONA. For this purpose, alliances and connections have been established with the Spanish and international innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem so that the value that ACCIONA adds to startups that work together on their challenges can be seen. This approach seeks to make innovation in the company more open, more disruptive and more digital; that not only the startups are accelerated with the knowledge that the company's experts can contribute, but also that the startups and their agile work methodologies are capable of transforming the company's processes.
In addition, the article includes some comments from startups that have already completed their program participation. Fracttal, Smartive, Vonzu or Bia Power are some examples of startups that continue working with different ACCIONA’s business units.
